1 thought on “The Complicated Case of James Angleton”

  1. Angleton maintained an extremely close personal relationship with Jay Lovestone for 20 years. Lovestone was the general secretary of the US Communist Party in the 1920as and the Director of the AFL-CIO International Affairs Dept from 1963-1974. He had a 30-year history of animosity with the Reuthers who in the 1960s exposed CIA elements operating in labor. Walter Reuther died in what in retrospect was an assassination in 1970. My book which devotes a chapter to this will be out in February. El Golpe: US Labor, the CIA, and the Coup at Ford in Mexico. https://www.amazon.com/El-Golpe-Labor-Mexico-Wildcat/dp/074534562X
