I concur with this completely. There’s a JFK researcher whom I know well and enjoy working with, and whose politics are somewhat different then mine. Him – Blue Dog Midwest Democrat. Myself- Libertarian minded West Coast Republican. But nevertheless, our working together on JFK and other Cold War events have given us a great opportunity to understand one another better, and find that we agree with may more things than we disagree.
The fact that we’re both Cold War veterans helps a lot too.
