What is the JFK end game?
Charles asks a good question:
Q. How do we define and effect justice for JFK and the untold millions of collaterally damaged victims of the Dealey Plaza attack? What is to be gained by the seemingly endless search for proof of conspiracy that in fact we have long possessed in abundance? Have we learned so little from our decades of labor in the morass of deep event studies that we continue to petition the deep state for relief from the oppression for which it is responsible?
…What did we learn from the 2017 JFK releases?
“There’s a lot of noise around the Kennedy assassination,” I observe in the JFK Facts Podcast #2. With host Alan Dale, I try to cut though that noise and talk about what we learned about the assassination from the last round of JFK releases in 2017 and 2018?
Spoiler alert: one thing we learned about was the surveillance of Lee Harvey Oswald.

Correction: the number of secret JFK files may be less than previously reported
Robert responds to my recent post on JFK files.
Black Vault deserves a thanks for putting on line a pdf and excel file of the latest data provided by NARA, but if you take the Black Vault figures to mean that there are thousands of records still withheld in full, that is not correct.
I’m not certain that Robert is correct but I want to air his concerns so that we get an accurate number of still-secret JFK files. …

Rep. Walter Jones to offer resolution calling for full JFK disclosure
Two senior Capitol Hill Republicans plan to introduce a congressional resolution calling for full disclosure of all U.S. government’s records related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C) and Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Ia.) will introduce their JFK resolution before the end of the month, according to Jones.
“I want to make sure that the information that is owed the American people is made available,” the veteran North Carolina conservative said in an exclusive interview with AlterNet. “The American people are sick and tired of not being given the truth. “

JFK Most Wanted: Dave Phillips’ CIA operations files
David Phillips was a failed actor turned expatriate newspaper publisher in Santiago, Chile when he was recruited into the CIA in the early 1950s. He made his mark fast. In 1955, he won a Distinguished Intelligence Medal, one of the agency’s highest honors, for mounting deceptive radio broadcasts in the CIA’s overthrow of the democratically elected government of Guatemala in 1954.
After that his CIA career took off. With Howard Hunt, Phillips served as propaganda chief in the CIA’s failed effort to invade Cuba at the Bay of Pigs In April 1961. When he was assigned to Mexico City in 1962, station chief Win Scott described him as “the finest covert action officer I have ever met.”
After JFK’s assassination, Scott was not so complimentary and I suspect the reason why was Oswald’s curious handling of Oswald. .(I tell the story in my biography of Scott, Our Man in Mexico. Buy it here.)

JFK 2.0: Focus on full disclosure in October 2017
How to improve JFK Facts? I asked. Michael says:
“First thoughts: An unrelenting campaign to educate the public about the critical importance of October 2017. If the release of information is not acceptable we must demand a new top-to-bottom investigation of the assassination, with a particular focus on the political issues of the day.”
