The long road from JFK to Pizza-gate

A look at how reasonable doubt about the JFK story feeds irrational fears.

When I first saw this piece, I was bothered by the juxtaposition of the JFK and Pizza-gate as if interpreting a complex crime like the assassination in Dallas were comparable to fostering a BS conspiracy theory about Comet Pizza.

But this is conceptual universe in which we live and I was glad to explain its dynamics. Giving the last word on JFK to Dan Rather, however, is weak. Rather hasn’t done any original reporting on the case in decades.
