One of my favorite JFK Facts stories came from a woman named Monica Jimenez who pulled a gun on Watergate burglar Frank Sturgis when he tried to intimidate her mother, Maritz Lorentz, about her JFK assassination story. Jimenez. was fifteen years old at the time. The threat suggests Sturgis had something to hide when it came to JFK.
The investigative web site Muckrock has a great follow-up story. It turns out there’s a whole lot more to be learned about Sturgis: namely, an FBI file containing 75,000 documents.

Monica Mercedes Pérez Jiménez is the daughter of a Venezuelan dictator and Marita Lorentz, a former mistress of Fidel Castro who became a CIA spy.
She recent told her story to The Tico Times in Costa Rica where she lives There are problems with the story her mother told JFK investigators in 1978 but there is no doubt that Lorentz was involved in CIA covert operations in the early 1960s.
The recent JFK Facts interview with Phil Shenon prompted longtime JFK author Robert Morrow to write a response.
Question from a reader:
“.. Or at least knew of the plot involving Howard Hunt, Frank Sturgis, and Cubans associated with the Bay of Pigs project?”
