Reader Stuart may have the answer to the “JFK Declassified.” The new version of the “Castro Done It” conspiracy theory was killed by bad ratings, he suggests. It is the most plausible explanation yet.

“The JFK programme has a 1st week rating of 0.26, falling to 0.19 by week 2. I think that’s the answer – pulled because of bad ratings from the start. (I could add that if one calls oneself a History Channel and then proceeds to fill the schedule with awful, cheap programmes about pawn shops and junks yards etc, don’t be surprised when your audience deserts you. But I won’t.)
