  1. hello,

a man with the initials M K has analysis of the nix film on YouTube. He was apparently given a copy by Nix’s granddaughter. Also, the nix film is analysed in a BBC Documentary released in 1992 called the day the dream died.

  2. Again Jeff, I offer my sincere thanks and hope we can get the word out that the original NIX film MUST be found. Gerda’s work is astonishing. Rick Needham and Martin Hinrichs have done work on the Nix film as well. Herbert Blenner has painstakingly taken the time to divide the Nix film frame by frame. You can see it here:

Thanks again Jeff and all for helping me find the film!

    1. Thanks, Gayle. I begun studying the frames, particularly the first dozen or so frames in regard to Mary Moorman and to a lesser degree the head shot.

Do you believe this film, the extant film, is a true copy of what your grandfather filmed? Whether it is or not, it differs from the Zapruder film in some obvious ways. One is the depiction of the motions of Jackie and Clint Hill on the car trunk. Another is Mary Moorman’s location. I’ve come to believe the extant Z-film is a fraud. The extant Nix film may not be a true copy of the camera original but it seems more genuine to me.

Would you mind recounting here your understanding of what became of the camera original film?

  3. The Muchmore film suggests that the SS was breaking the limo during the shooting.
The Muchmore film also suggests frames were removed from the Zapruder film:

    1. Thanks for the link to the youtube video showing the Muchmore film and parts of Bobby Hargis’s 1995 interview. Hargis says that Greer “slowed down almost to a stop.”

At a trial, Hargis would have been a terrible witness insofar as the Warren Commission is concerned.

      1. You can see the slow down even on the Nix film.

I believe it now when certain witnesses thought the limo almost stopped.

We may not see it on most second generation Z film copies due to those missing frames from the damage caused by Life magazine way back.

Greer may have slowed down to check on the President and/or to allow Clint Hill climbing on board. In any case, it probably was the wrong reaction and contrary to his training.

  4. His FRIEND, Secret Service Agent in Charge of the dallas office thought the shots came from the FENCE??? The Warren omission ignored this (like Seth Kantor).
As Jonathan alluded to, frame by frame analysis would be invaluable.
I can’t see anything relevant in the fence section. The retaining wall portion bears the slight resemblance of a person shooting over it a few feet back to right of it’s end to me (only head and shoulders visible, right arm raised as if shooting).
The guy who ran in front of the Black lady drinking the Strawberry Nehi who looked right when the cop shot from the fence?

  5. I would have liked to have seen an enhancement and slow motion of the picket fence further west.

It’s amazing how much the limo slowed down (maybe to let Clint Hill get back on?).

The SS follow-up car doesn’t seem to show Hickey out of place with AR-15 in hand.

One thing is certain. No way that a shot from the TSBD would exit the right side of JFK’s head. From Nix’ perspective, it clearly is a reaction to a shot from the right front.

    1. It’s not clear to me that the shot comes from the right front, but only from the front. That much I would say. The angle of Sherry Fiester (sp?) needs to be considered here.
It does seem to me that had the fatal head shot shooter been directly behind the fence stabilizing the barrel on the fence and siting down the barrel above the fence, that he would have been captured on this film. Yet I see nothing like that anywhere.

      1. Tom, Nix isn’t close enough nor is it resolute enough.

There are also shadows to contend with.

The best evidence of a GK shooter can be drawn from Josiah Thompson’s work when enhancing the area above the stockade fence line both before and after the head shot, using the Moorman photograph which was closer and more resolute to the GK.

        Here’s link to narrative:

Here are two pics of the Moorman photo showing possible GK shooter (I believe this correlates with Tink’s analysis). There’s no way that you would see a GK shooter in Nix’s film which was taken further away.

    1. Robert, I actually have two DVDs that are by Groden. One is entitled, The Assassination Films (the other one, Conspiracy something). I think I ordered them from Amazon.

But your Nix gif will be super convenient. Thank you!

  6. Does anyone know if the extant Nix film is available frame-by-frame and if so where the frames can be found?

    1. S.R. "Dusty" Rohde

Jonathon….yes, it is available frame by frame. I don’t know the weblink off the top of my head but Gayle Nix Jackson does. I’ll see if I can track and post it (link).
