A reader recommends the 1976 documentary “On Company Business.”
Worth it for the David Phillips footage alone.
Marvelous to see Dick Helms spar with the Senate committee. The gem of this video is about halfway through when a CIA officer talks about how the “work” gets done. He compares a CIA agent to the mark in a con game. As in the con game where the only one who doesn’t know what is really going on is the mark, the agent is the only one in an intelligence operation who doesn’t know what is really going on. The pattern of LHO’s life from joining the USMC until his death suggests he was the mark in a high-stakes con game.
Classic David Atlee Phillips I don’t believe a word out of his mouth. Victor Marchetti and John Stockwell great stuff!
This video sounds like a valuable resource.
If anybody has this video, can you share it? Rent it? Sell it? It is not available at Amazon anymore. Apparently it was only released on VHS.
